Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites save to your browser or device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, improve performance, and provide information to the owners of the site.

Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, we are required to obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device.

How we use cookies

We use a small number of cookies on this website. We do not use advertising cookies, social-media tracking pixels, or any form of cross-site tracking.

Cookies we set

Note: Google Analytics cookies are only set if you click "Accept all" or enable the Analytics toggle in your cookie preferences. Until you do, the Google Analytics script is not downloaded at all, so no request is made to Google and no _ga* cookies are placed on your device.

Google Analytics and data transfers

When analytics cookies are accepted, Google Analytics 4 (property ID: G-HF1YGWPXYZ) collects pseudonymous data including:

This data is processed by Google LLC, which may transfer it to the United States. Such transfers are covered by the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can read more in Google's Privacy Policy.

We have disabled Google Signals (enhanced user insights) and set data retention to 14 months.

Booking calendar (Calendly)

The booking calendar in the Book section is embedded from Calendly, a third-party scheduling service operated by Calendly LLC. It is not loaded until you ask for it: the section shows a "Load booking calendar" button instead, and nothing is requested from Calendly until you activate it or turn on the Booking calendar toggle in your cookie preferences.

Once loaded, Calendly sets its own cookies and local storage entries in your browser to run the scheduling widget and remember your progress through a booking. These are set by Calendly, not by us, and we cannot read them. Calendly is based in the United States, so loading the calendar involves a transfer of your data (including your IP address) outside the UK, under the safeguards described in Calendly's own policies.

Choosing "Load booking calendar" is recorded as consent for this category so you are not asked again on future visits. You can withdraw it at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer, which removes the embedded calendar from the page. Cookies already set by Calendly must be cleared through your browser settings. See Calendly's Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details.

You can always book without loading the calendar by emailing leticia@berkshirebehaviourconsultancy.com.

Managing and withdrawing consent

You can change your cookie preferences at any time:

The preferences panel has a separate toggle for Analytics and for the Booking calendar, so you can accept one without the other. Withdrawing analytics consent removes any existing _ga* cookies from your browser immediately; withdrawing booking consent removes the embedded Calendly calendar from the page.
